The Beginning

For those who don’t remember – October 17, 1989 was a scary day in Bay Area history when a 7.1 earthquake caused major damage to our beautiful cities by the Bay. It was also my first day in real estate, making it a day of infamy… But the show must go on, and so I met with my very first clients anyway, having since dedicated my career to bringing buyers and sellers together for a successful match.

I greatly enjoy working with Buyers of all ages and take pride in my communication skills, teaching ability, and patiently helping buyers understand step-by-step the increasingly complicated process of loan qualification and escrow, inspections and disclosures, while keeping a sense of humor and causing as little stress as possible.

Helping Sellers

My Seller clients profit  from my ability to juggle all aspects of preparing their home for sale, pricing it right – and to sell it quickly, using state-of-the-art marketing tools and proven successful strategies!  My reputation as a skilled negotiator is well known and respected within the community and beyond. But my greatest strength is my desire to provide personalized service to all clients, so they feel like they are the only ones I’m working with and never feel like they are dealing with a “production line” Realtor®.

Help with Relocation

I also work hard at keeping my Relocation clients from succumbing to culture shock when they realize how little their money will buy them in California even today, compared to their home State.

Residential Real Estate Investments

Some years ago, I became involved with purchasing/selling residential investment properties, After conducting extensive research in various Western States, I can truly proclaim myself to be somewhat of an expert in the do’s and don’ts in this aspect of real estate and will gladly share my experience.

Personal Stuff

On a personal note, I was born and raised in Germany, lived and worked as a multi-lingual interpreter in Spain and Switzerland until I immigrated to these great United States (East & West Coast). My educational and professional background includes a degree in English from Cambridge University in England, sales/marketing and appraisal/property management, continued education in real estate and legal matters, as well as cross-cultural understanding and computer applications. Prior to real estate, I had an illustrious career in sales and marketing in various industries.

I have been happily married for over 25 years and am the proud guardian of two active and mischievous Shetland Sheepdogs.  I enjoy traveling near and far away, studying the history of different cultures, as well as dabbling in scenic and animal photography. I have strong, old fashioned beliefs and convictions which include the motto “honesty and hard work never hurt anyone”.
